If you’re a member of the mainstream media, the odds are you’ve completely buried the Kermit Gosnell story. Whether you’ve hushed the murders of hundreds of babies because you’re “pro-choice,” because you don’t really care, or because Barack Obama once voted to protect many of the same procedures employed by Kermit Gosnell doesn’t really matter. You’ve been willfully negligent in your reporting and, now, you’re being shamed into correcting yourself.
Case in point is last night’s episode of Anderson Cooper 360.
Cooper devoted nearly half of last night’s episode to the story, even digging - a bit -into why no one bothered to cover it.
Make no mistake, they’d still be ignoring this story if they hadn’t been thoroughly humiliated by the pressure from social media. Congratulations internet, you’ve shamed them into paying attention. And, to be fair, Cooper may have been late to the party but he did a pretty good job once he arrived.
Here’s the initial report, which was followed by discussion and interviews.
