Boston bombing terrorist, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev: just a typical smoking-pot teenager, hanging out with his friends

Junior Bomber, Left’s New Darling

Liberals, led by the mainstream media are starting to warm up to the junior Boston bombing terrorist, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. He's so young, they wail, he's just a typical teenager, hanging out with his friends and smoking pot.
If only, they cry, we could figure out why he did it. We need to get to the root cause. Powerline provides an excellent example of such liberal idiocy by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick: The governor of Massachusetts said Sunday that he has no idea what motivated the brothers accused of exploding two bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. It's not exactly a head scratcher. He did it for Allah. He did not do it because he was upset about Obamacare, he did not do it because it was Tax Day, he did not do it because it was Patriot Day or to get his own reality show. He did it for Islam, as instructed by the Qur'an.

Powerline has put together a handy guide to recent bombing attacks--all of which have, by amazing coincidence, one common thread -- Islam:
This piece in The Atlantic is a good exemplar of the mushy liberal commentary that has proliferated in recent days. Authored by one Megan Garber, it is titled: 'The Boston Bombers Were Muslim: So?' Before taking a close look at Ms. Garber’s article, let’s advise The Atlantic not to put away that headline. It could come in handy so often. 'The Cole Bombers Were Muslim: So?' 'The Embassy Bombers Were Muslim: So?' 'The First World Trade Center Bombers Were Muslim: So?' 'The September 11 Bombers Were Muslim: So?' “The Madrid Bombers Were Muslim: So?' “The London Bombers Were Muslim: So?' “The Shoebomber Was Muslim: So?' The Underwear Bomber Was Muslim: So?' “The Fort Hood Shooter Was Muslim: So?' 'The Beslan Child-Murderers Were Muslim: So?' 'The Times Square Bomber Was Muslim: So?'
To understand violence in the name of Islam requires knowledge of the Qur'an, most especially the principle of abrogation. Abrogation means that when there is conflict between verses, the later verse is the correct one. The Qur'anic language of peace and tolerance is abrogated later by Verse 9.5, known as the Sword Verse: ". . . kill the idolaters wherever ye shall find them" Other verses inciting the faithful to kill abrogate 114 prior verses referring to peace as Islam grew in strength by force. Then we have the words of the terrorist himself who said he did it for Islam. Yet, young Dzhokhar has become the newest darling of the left. Now we know he's an Obama supporter -- no surprise there, but all the more reason for the mainstream media to love him.
