Tea Partiers and the IRS

Beware the Thought Police

You know now that if you are a group of conservatives, Tea Partiers or just concerned citizens trying to form a nonprofit organization, your government is going to thwart your efforts by way of that most dastardly of all governmental enforcers, the IRS.

Should your application bandy about such overtly subversive terms as "patriot" or "tea party", you should expect to be harassed by the Obama administration's IRS as an obvious threat to national security. And lord help you if you should mention the word "Constitution"--nothing upsets a liberal more than the US Constitution, that giant, irksome roadblock to their version of utopia. It isn't enough to answer intrusive questions about your organization and its purpose, be prepared to answer questions about your "beliefs". The Thought Police are here. The government may just as well go ahead and name the IRS the Ministry of Love as a sop to George Orwell and his vision of how the government would someday force its ideology on the citizenry. What better agency to bully and intimidate than the IRS. Which, by the most amazing of all coincidences, is the same agency that will be overseeing our compliance with ObamaCare. In a faux display of outrage, Obama has fired IRS chief Steve Miller, who was leaving anyway. This pretend firing is supposed to deflect attention away from the White House and have us believe that all of the trouble was caused by a couple of agents gone rogue. Isn't it always? Representative Darrell Issa puts the number closer to 500. All of this is standard Obama procedure--just clear the field. He can never win the people's support on his policies; he wins by getting his competition out of the way. The IRS abuse case serves as another important perk for Obama--it takes the focus temporarily off of Benghazi.
