Wake up, America! The good people of Canada have shown the way to deal with the travails of a world topsy-turvy in crisis.
Indeed, Canada has confirmed conservatism as the only solution that makes sense by re-electing prime minister Stephen Harper, the first major world leader to face voters since the global financial meltdown.
Although his Conservative party did not win the 155 seats needed to govern on its own, Harper did manage to improve the number of conservatives in parliament from 127 to 143.
Elections next time will give Canadians another opportunity to add enough conservatives to have a fully functional and responsible conservative government.
