Roughly 40,000 people were on the grounds of the legislature building in Victoria, British Columbia celebrating Canada Day on July 1. It was a glorious summer day and men, women and children of all ages were there to enjoy themselves and bask in the sunshine on Canada’s national holiday.
Little did they know that they were marked for maiming and death by two homegrown terrorists, converts to Islam named John Nuttall and Amanda Korody. Nuttall and Korody were acting in the name of Islam and inspired by al-Qaeda and were going to use pressure cooker bombs like the ones used by the Boston Marathon Islamist terrorist murderers to sow as much destruction and death as they could. If they succeeded untold numbers of people would have been maimed and killed, men, women and children alike.
Their actions were, are, sanctioned and legitimized by Islam and they were acting in accordance with al-Qaeda’s doctrine of believers carrying out lone wolf attacks on Westerners. Whatever details emerge about the thwarted attack in Victoria it is absolutely clear that Islam and al-Qaeda’s fingerprints are all over it.
Canadians shouldn’t doubt that for a minute, shouldn’t forget that for a minute, despite all the denials, obfuscation, rationalizations and excuses that they will be confronted with by Islamists, politicians, police, so-called experts and others. Islam and Islamists pose a grave danger to Canada and Canadians like they do to Western countries and Westerners everywhere and Canada and Canadians are no more immune than Americans, Europeans, Australians or anyone else. Islam and Islamists are in fact at war with the West, want nothing more than to conquer and subjugate it and will do anything to achieve their ends, including maiming and murdering men, women and children.
Let me repeat.

Whatever details emerge about the thwarted attack in Victoria it is absolutely clear that Islam and al-Qaeda’s fingerprints are all over it.
It is also absolutely clear that there will be more attempted attacks in Canada and that some of them will succeed unless Canadians take strong, serious measures against the Islamic savagery in their midst.
