NO demonstrable global warming since 1997, Arctic ice cover this year has increased over 60 percent from this time last year

OMG: It’s Global Cooling!

Dateline, September 8, 2013, from the UK’s The Telegraph newspaper: “Global warming? No, actually we’re cooling, claim scientists.” “What’s this?” you say. Has The Telegraph been taken over by a cabal led by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, and other conservatives?
Not at all. What’s happened is that a preponderance of evidence has finally forced climate scientists in general (and even some global warming alarmists) to come to grips with the reality that modern global warming theory as voiced by Al Gore, Barack Obama, Michael Mann, the IPCC, and the Green movement in general, is simply false. Much of this stems from two facts: (1) there has been NO demonstrable global warming since 1997—something global warming alarmists call a “pause,” and (2) it was recently discovered that Arctic ice cover this year has increased over 60 percent from this time last year. In fact, the Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has been blocked with ice all year, which has forced several ships to change their routes. Let me add a third point: despite the NOAA’s forecast of an “extremely active” hurricane season this year, not a single hurricane has formed in the first half of the 2013 hurricane season.

(Remember when alarmists claimed that Hurricane Katrina was proof of global warming? Let’s see them explain this one away.) More from The Telegraph:
A leaked report to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) seen by the Mail on Sunday, has led some scientists to claim that the world is heading for a period of cooling that will not end until the middle of this century. . . If correct, it would contradict computer forecasts of imminent catastrophic warming. The news comes several years after the BBC predicted that the arctic would be ice-free by 2013.
Non-alarmists have been saying for several years now that global warming stalled in 1997, but the IPCC, big-government politicians, and most of the mainstream press have refused to acknowledge this fact. But, as with all frauds, at some point the truth comes out. And this truth has not been well received by those who are heavily invested in the view of manmade global warming. Billions of dollars are at stake. The UN’s climate change body was even forced to hold a “crisis meeting,” and the IPCC is due to report on why the reality is so different from its projections. Governments are getting a bit worried as well:
But leaked documents show that governments who fund the IPCC are demanding 1,500 changes to the Fifth Assessment Report - a three-volume study issued every six or seven years – as they claim its current draft does not properly explain the pause.
U.S. climate expert Professor Judith Curry stated recently that the world may be entering a cooling trend similar to that experienced from 1965 to 1975, when many scientists predicted a coming ice age. Professor Anastasios Tsonis of the University of Wisconsin has stated that we are already in a cooling trend (not just a “pause” in warming) that will last for at least 15 more years. According to Professor Tsonis, “There is no doubt the warming of the 1980s and 1990s has stopped.” The good news is, more and more people are realizing the fraud that is the great global warming scam. Even Tim Yeo, the British MP (Member of Parliament) who oversees governmental policy on climate change, now admits that humans may not be to blame for the warming trend of the 1980s and 1990s. This from one of the UK government’s most vocal supporters of radical action to cut carbon production. In fact, the entire UK population has had a bit of a wake-up call of late. In November of 2009, 41% of UK respondents claimed to believe that humans were causing global warming. As of today, only 30% agree with that claim. In 2009, 32% of respondents believed that global warming was a natural event; as of today, nearly 46% agree with that statement. The bad news is, those positive changes haven’t reached across the pond to change the minds of big-government politicians and the Green movement here in the U.S. They continue to ignore reality, lower their heads, and plow forward with their economy-killed, CO2 reduction plans. And even as the facts begin to come out, President Obama continues to call those who do not get on the alarmist bandwagon “flat earthers.” The IPCC still claims with “95% certainty,” despite its recent crisis meeting, that humans are causing global warming due to our production of CO2. That’s up from 90% in 2007. That shocks Professor Curry, who questions how this can be true since “uncertainty is getting bigger” rather than smaller within the academic community. It makes you wonder who the real flat earthers are, doesn’t it?
