They then go forward praising their leader as if he is infallible and has never made a mistake

None dare call it socialism, or, How the Left is like a cult

Like clockwork, the New York Time leads us into the new year with a reminder that traditional journalism is dead and only serves at the whims of those in the political elite to whom they have become enamored. How could any responsible journalist still say that the attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2011 was caused by a video?
Anyone who would have gone to the facts of the matter, instead of first going to the Obama propagandists' talking points, would have known that the day it happened. Clearly, last week's New York Times rehash of the Obama/Clinton/Rice post-Benghazi-attack talking points is not journalism, but propaganda based on outright lies. What difference does it make at this point, you may ask, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton? The difference it makes is your blatant mis-management of American interests in Libya while you were Secretary of State. The difference it makes is that such a failure to protect Americans abroad disqualifies you as a legitimate candidate for President. Yet the truth and the real world no longer have any consideration in the Democrats' political analysis. Just be as bombastic as possible in your outright lies and that is as good as truth for them. Then the layers of mistruth are piled on to keep the faithful convinced that the lie has to be right. After all, who is there to dispute it, since the people arguing against it are made out to be a sub-human caste, incapable of intelligent thought?

The Left is like a cult. When the leader makes a mistake or is caught in a lie, whatever explanation he gives afterward is like a reset button - and all consequences of his actions did not ever happen - all his faults that have been exposed are suddenly erased. They then go forward praising their leader as if he is infallible and has never made a mistake. Geniuses seem to be as susceptible to this deception as the feeble-minded and even the most clearly articulated logical explanation of why they are deceived is heard as mindless gibberish. When one of their propagandists says, like John Podesta, incoming Obama advisor, did recently that Republican leaders in the House of Representatives are “a cult worthy of Jonestown,” the faithful on the Left nod in agreement as if his ridiculous comparison is an accurate metaphor. Never mind that the leader of Jonestown, Jim Jones, was a utopian socialist who left life as a liberal Democrat politician to create a secretive organization based on communal living and blind obedience to Jones. Now we are looking at a Presidency with a little over 3 years remaining who will continue to trash and smear those who disagree with him whenever he promotes another one of his grandiose plans to have more of America converted to socialism.
