Environmentalist don’t like questions make them think

What to do?

Global warming. Climate change. Algore-ming. Unsubstantiated claims of global climate change? Ultra-leftist silliness. Greenie/tree hugger apologism for normal human progress and activity? Computer modeling gone awry? Science without common sense denial of evidence? (Their computer model selectively deletes whole time periods that don’t agree with the 'warming' theory.) Pseudo-scientific analysis of weather patterns? (Thanks to “Mikey” an on-line correspondent)
The debate continues. What was once proclaimed in the hue and cry of environmentalist nightmares has now been re-named as Climate Change because well-diggers’ acetabula are congealing and witches left milk-merchants have frozen. What to do? What to do? Immediately change the terminology and direct attention away from the fact you really have no idea what in Hades half-acre you’re talking about. Oh yeah; worry that bone like a teething puppy until it melts from the slobbering drool and spittle flying from your lips while you scream about how the polar ice caps are melting, the coastlines are in jeopardy of being drowned and Antarctica may become the newest sub-tropical paradise to emerge in competition to the Caribbean.

Just how do you plan on stopping the problem? People can’t even control their governments but we’re expected to believe we can change a force of nature. What’s the matter, screwing around with economies and the welfare of humans isn’t enough interference, you have to screw with Mother Nature? People have always sought to equate themselves with God. We do it with medicine. We do it with war. We do it simply because we’re at the top of the food chain; not because we’re all that special but because our little bitty brains allowed us to develop tools we could use to kill ourselves with more efficiently. We don’t seek equality and parity with the Almighty because we’re so good and altruistic. We do it because we’re greedy and avaricious. So many people praise God with a caveat attached: we want something. For me, in my childhood, it was a new toy or a better grade on the next test I didn’t feel sufficiently prepared for on the next day. Now, I just want my arteries to stop hardening and my prostate to soften. (Go figure!) I ask this: what would happen to Earth if all the deserts on the planet were converted to arable lands of abundant greenery? As nice as that sounds would it be good for humanity? The climate may be changing. The weather changes almost daily (as we see today, almost hourly) and the climate is just weather over a longer period of time as we measure it. Mark Twain said: “Climate is what we expect. Weather is what we get”. And my favorite: “If you don’t like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes”. "Global Warming' is a theory not substantiated by specific research. We know CO2 accumulation can cause an insulation effect, which may cause some warming, but what is the cause of the CO2? Is CO2 only human related? No. We have no more than a couple of centuries of accumulated data on weather and its history. But the history of the Earth can be measured in thousand and million year cycles. Fundamentalist Environmentalists want to blame mankind and his industrialization of the planet since the late 1700s. They feel if they slow or stop industrialized nations from further growth the Earth will heal, humans will all join hands, sing Kumbaya and we’ll all live happily ever after. They’re also looking to be the resident on the top tiers of this new society having cashed in on the sale of “carbon credits. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas emitted through human activities. In 2011, CO2 accounted for about 84% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions from human activities. Carbon dioxide is naturally present in the atmosphere as part of the Earth's carbon cycle (the natural circulation of carbon among the atmosphere, oceans, soil, plants, and animals). But what effects occur from plant decomposition, forestation/deforestation and the reclamation (by irrigation) of previously non-arable lands? What role does the continual eruption and display of volcanic activity play in the introduction of “greenhouse gases” into the atmosphere? Ask these final questions: what covers the Earth more dynamically and dramatically most of the time: flora, fauna, or marine environs/life or volcanic activity; and how do their interactions affect climate? Then finally ask: just what do you think you’re going to successfully do about them; and how? The environmentalists don’t want you asking these questions. The fact is if we made the deserts arable we’d negatively impact our environment, shift global weather patterns dramatically, and elevate surface temperatures beyond the one or two degrees necessary to cause cataclysmic consequences. Environmentalist don’t like questions make them think. They prefer to regurgitate misinformation rather than admit their simplistic effort to change the issue by changing its name doesn’t really work anymore. Thanks for listening
