Many of Obama’s top supporters are driven by hate

Saving America from Obama's Socialism

This time last night, the first rush of letters to Canada Free Press (CFP) arrived from Americans disheartened that the elusive-to-the-end Barack Hussein Obama was celebrating long-touted victory in Chicago.

Those letters made me sad, but within hours, letters were streaming in thanking CFP for picking up where the indolent mainstream media had left off and talking about the need to rescue their country from the far left.

This is why I love Americans. Generous to a fault, average Americans are (by and large) engaged, full of spirit and ever at the ready to take a stand for God, family and country.

They never, God bless them, give up!

This is why Americans, as a people, will ultimately get their country back from the man whose handlers temporarily stole it from them.

It was one thing to try to nail down all of Obama’s checkered past with the media in lockstep behind the so-called Messiah of Change.

But as long as anyone can remember, politicians have always pulled off fast ones out on the hustings. Once they are sworn into office, the magic of the campaign melts like the first snowflakes you precipitately promised your four-year-old would be enough to build a backyard snowman.

It won’t even be the Americans who didn’t vote for Obama who will give him the most grief. It will be those waiting for their lives to miraculously change, who will.

Out on the election campaign, Obama who came on like the Artful Dodger was frustrating.

He descended in an airplane pompously decked out with his very own logo to the next stopover where throngs asked no questions as they cried out his name.

But like a movie star’s makeup and hairdo, Obama’s rockstar image will start to lose its luster when the clock strikes midnight.

For up close with no groupies and adulating media, Barack Obama is only another crass politician.

God only knows how politicians the world over are letting their people down.

Americans are admired the world over for their spirit, courage and generosity.

Their new leader pleases American enemies by being anti-American. Only an anti-American could have let so many America haters into his campaign.

Many of Obama’s top supporters are driven by hate. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright and washed-up hippie terrorist Bill Ayers in particular.

Younger, better looking, and oozing charisma, Obama hides his hatred of America better.

But you would have to hate America to want to turn it over to the failure of soul-killing Socialism.

Easy to flip the bird at Hillary Clinton and John McCain when it could always be argued back that he was merely scratching his nose. Simple to order media back onto the bus on Halloween night when you’re already in the White House.

The first sign of hope of Obama’s failure comes from knowing that people driven by hatred are usually consumed by their own hatred.

Obama’s downfall will come when it is plain to see that he was never trying to save the nation’s poor from grinding poverty. He only needed their vote to get on with the Bill Ayers-styled Revolution.

There is no sharper pain quite like that that of the naïve and the gullible who have been waiting all their lives for the miracle of change.

While the Obamas plan for their inauguration ball, average Americans will heal surrounded by family through Thanksgiving and Christmas.

For Americans worried about how to stop someone who would dare to come along and change their very constitution, the job of getting their country back must now seem monumental.

But one has only to look at history to see how love of liberty freed legions from the evil of Communism.

It was recorded eloquently by Dr. Charles W. Colson, a trustee of Gordon-Conwell Theological seminary and Chairman and Founder of Prisoner Fellowship, one of the largest volunteer organizations in the world, in his memorable 1993 Templeton address: “Suddenly, remarkably, almost inexplicably, one of history’s most sustained assaults on freedom collapsed before our eyes. The world was changed, not through the militant dialectic of communism, but through the power of unarmed truth. It found revolution in the highest hopes of common men. Love of liberty steeled under the weight of tyranny; the path of the future was charted in prison cells.

“This revolution’s symbolic moment was May Day 1990. Protesters following the tanks, missiles, and troops rumbling across Red Square. One, a bearded Orthodox monk, darted under the reviewing stand where Gorbachev, and other Soviet leaders stood. He thrust a huge crucifix into the air, shouting above the crowd, “Mikhail Sergeyevich! Christ is risen!” Gorbachev turned and walked off the platform.

“Across a continent the signal went. In defiant hope a spell was broken. The lies of decades were exposed. Fear and terror fled. And millions awoke as from a long nightmare. Their waking dream is a world revolution. Almost overnight the western model of economic, political, and social liberty has captured the reformers and given hope to the oppressed. We saw it at Tiananmen Square, where a replica of the Statue of Liberty, an icon of western freedom, became a symbol of Chinese hope. We saw it in Czechoslovakia when a worker stood before a desolate factory and read to a crowd, with tears in his eyes, the American Declaration of Independence.”

Not long after the monk’s words, “Mikhail Sergeyevich! Christ is risen, came the utter collapse of the Soviet Union.

As time would tell, Gorbachev had already laid the plans for his run for the freedom of the same United Sates of American he had so publicly derided. The former leader of the Soviet Union now works and lives in the freedom and security of the San Francisco Presidio. Everyone knows how he works with Maurice Strong on trying to replace the Ten Commandments with the Golden Rules of the Environment, and how Strong partnered up with Obama bagman George Soros on Chinese Chery car production.

The job of reclaiming human lives from Communism must have seemed monumental when the revolution began.

By comparison reclaiming America from the socialism of Barack Hussein Obama will be like a walk in the park.
