With Pelosi's help, the crazy train jumps the tracks

WH spin: ObamaCare isn't costing you your job, it's freeing you from 'job lock'

Now that the Congressional Budget Office has confirmed that ObamaCare is the jobs-killer conservatives always claimed it was, the White House has put the spin machine into overdrive. Since they can no longer deny the truth, they've decided to convince you that destroying the workforce is a good thing. The idea is to make you believe that losing your employment is actually some kind of Bizzaro-world liberation.
You never really wanted that job; you were - perhaps without even knowing - trapped in it. You should be grateful that the Democrats have come along and relieved you of your suffering. They've even got a term for your former enslavement: "Job Lock." As the New York Daily News reports, Nancy Pelosi has unveiled "job lock" (not freedom) as the new Democrat buzzword.
“What we see is that people are leaving their jobs because they are no longer job-locked,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told reporters after House votes Tuesday afternoon. “They are following their aspirations to be a writer; to be self-employed; to start a business. This is the entrepreneurial piece. So it’s not going to cost jobs. It’s going to shift how people make a living and reach their aspirations.”

Pelosi said she hadn’t “fully” seen the report, but, “this was one of the goals. To give people life, a healthy life, liberty to pursue their happiness. And that liberty is to not be job-locked, but to follow their passion.”
This echoes other statements from the administration, including Jay Carney's claim that "unemployment" is a basically synonym for "more choice." Similarly, on Tuesday, Buzzfeed reported that a senior administration official had briefed reporters via a conference call. During the discussion, the White House claimed that you shouldn't be too upset by the millions of jobs that ObamaCare is destroying.
The CBO’s projected reduction in full-time workers, then, “shouldn’t be a significant cause for surprise and it reflects the fact that workers have a new set of options and are making the best choices that they can choose to make for themselves given those options,” the official said.
Democrats want you to believe that we're talking about a bunch of painters who were slaving away as mechanics. They’d like you to think that there’s going to be a massive wave of suddenly-free sculptors and writers who - had it not been for their insurance - would have left their CPA positions long ago. They paint a picture of an enslaved nation which was toiling away in the steel mill while dreaming of being bakers, authors, and architects. All of it is complete nonsense, because the CBO doesn't argue that people will leave their jobs to gleefully start a business or pursue a new career. Nor does it claim that the shift has anything to do with choice. It argues that ObamaCare is basically a massive tax that will eliminate jobs and motivate continued unemployment. From the Wall Street Journal:
The rolling impact of the law will lead to 2 million fewer workers in 2017, 2.3 million in 2021 and 2.5 million through 2024, the CBO forecast. This represents a 1.5% to 2.0% reduction in the numbers of hours worked. … CBO attributed the law’s projected labor force impact to several factors. This included an impact on labor supply from an employer penalty in the law and “an effect from encouraging part-year workers to delay returning to work in order to retain their insurance subsidies,” among other things.
What Pelosi and the left wing loons in the White House are trying to portray as "choice" and "Freedom" is, in reality, a situation where a worker is fired and is then incentivized to do nothing. Welcome to Barack Obama’s version of the American dream.
