Despite the recent storms wreaking havoc in Jenny Shaw-Browne’s studio, the Cornwall artist has vowed to still participate in an exhibition this April.

Her work features in Totally Truro at the Lander Gallery in Truro. The oil and watercolour paintings are all of Truro and the event coincides with this year’s Truro Arts Festival. “I have had a bit of a disastrous couple of weeks,” says Jenny. “The recent storms have wreaked havoc, with rain getting into my studio. It came in through the wall/window and into my storage cupboards, so went unnoticed for too long. The sketchbooks, files and photos that I stored there (for safe keeping) were all soaked and totally ruined. I am left with just boxes of mould and mush. It has taken four trips to the skip to clear it all. However, I have picked myself up and am back working.”

Totally Truro runs from April 5 to April 26 and Jenny will paint live in the gallery on Wednesday, April 16 from 11am to 4pm.
