Hedonist Obama is heading to the Vatican for star dust not conversion

Obama’s Vatican Pit Stop

Don’t expect the Vatican to collapse when President Barack Obama meets there with Pope Francis today. After all, all religious symbols Obama ordered covered over at Georgetown University, a Catholic institution, went on to survive his April 16, 2009 address.
Hedonist Obama is heading to the Vatican for star dust not conversion. According to the mainstream media the Vatican meeting comes as a rest-stop: “The meeting at the Vatican comes as a welcome rest-stop for Obama during a six-day European tour dominated by the crisis over Crimea, and the US leader will doubtless be hoping some of the pope’s overwhelming popularity will rub off on him.” (AFP, March 27, 2014) Like star dust, popularity doesn’t rub off by wish. Incredibly, Obama hopes his talks on a shared agenda to fight inequality with Pope Francis will do wonders to boost his support at home. “Obama is "mostly going I think to bask in the glow of the new Pope," said Jeremy Shapiro, visiting fellow at Washington's Brookings institute.”

Progressives, who bestow glow-in-the-dark attributes to Pope Francis, will reverse their homage the moment it becomes clear to them that the Pontiff will change nothing during his papacy. “Religious expert John Allen told Vatican Radio Obama will be fishing for Catholic votes to help him keep a hold on the Senate. (AFP) “Words of support from Francis would certainly boost his case: a survey published by the Saint-Leo University found that Francis was popular with 85 percent of Catholics and 63 percent of Americans.” Obama, champion of abortion, including partial birth abortion, rose to power on a slogan of Hope and Change. The Gospel of the Lord never changes. The March 27 Gospel for today is from Luke, Chapter 11, Verses 14 to 23: “Whoever is not with me is against me.” “Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute, | and when the demon had gone out, | the mute man spoke and the crowds were amazed. | Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” | Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. | But he knew their thoughts and said to them, | “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste | and house will fall against house. | And if Satan is divided against itself, | how will this kingdom stand? | For you to say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. | If I, then, drive out demons by Beezlebul, | by whom do your own people drive them out? | Therefore they will be your judges. | But it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons, | then the Kingdom of God has come upon you. | When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, | his possessions are safe. | But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, | he takes away the armor on which he relied | and distributes the spoils. | Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.”
