Obama needs to be reined in and forced to honor the words he so glibly throws around both here and in Europe

Hypocrisy on a grand scale

Obama spoke in Belgium. He offered his view of world events (Ukraine and Crimea specifically) and spoke nobly concerning the goals, dreams, aspirations and ideals of free societies around the globe. He minimized Vladimir Putin’s power and abilities. He bypassed the reality Putin’s efforts are a result of Obama’s personal weakness and duplicitous stance on the rights of individual nations such as Ukraine, on downward to the rights of individual citizens here in America.
“Leaders and dignitaries of the European Union, representatives of our NATO alliance, distinguished guests, we meet here at a moment of testing for Europe and the United States and for the international order that we have worked for generations to build. “Throughout human history, societies have grappled with fundamental questions of how to organize themselves, the proper relationship between the individual and the state, the best means to resolve the inevitable conflicts between states. And it was here in Europe, through centuries of struggle, through war and enlightenment, repression and revolution, that a particular set of ideals began to emerge, the belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose, the belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.”

As usual, the words ring hollow when spoken from the depths of a tailored, empty suit. Obama has the temerity to stand before the world and say Putin is a leader of a “regional power” while all the time forgetting he, (Obama) has courted this man’s friendship, alliance and coalition on matters concerning the development of the free world. It was Obama told the then puppet Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that if he had more “space”, he’d also have more flexibility (after his re-election) on issues like missile defense. “After my re-election I have more flexibility.” Medvedev promised to “transmit this information to Vladimir”. If Medvedev was anything but a sock-puppet for Putin, why did he need to inform “Vladimir?” Obama’s flaccid presence on the world diplomatic stage is horrifying for America. But we must understand his statement in the fifth paragraph of this commentary is a direct lie concerning his betrayal of American ideals. He grandly says: “a particular set of ideals began to emerge, the belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose, the belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.” Obama, who came to prominence from a virtual wasteland of political and diplomatic experience and expertise, speaks of the highest ideals of American culture while regularly abrogating the law by using the “Executive Privilege” he elastically defines for his own best benefit. He’s an elegantly dressed, suave and etiquette enriched bully using the elitist Senate,( the “upper house” of the Congress) to keep the House of Representatives, (“the lower house”) from representing the common man. It’s Obama’s elitist coalitions composed of men and women sharing progressive ideals bordering on socialism jeopardized the world and its approach to megalomaniacs like Putin. Obama has practiced exactly what Putin is doing and in much the same manner: unilateral movement to remove the rights of some to enhance the standing of others. We see a slow, inexorable, clandestine strategy lulling the people into a false sense of security until it’s too late. Like an infected pore, the infection grows. The people ignorantly pay no attention to the disease corrupting their health until the toxicity of the effort comes to a head. There are signs of the sepsis. The head of the boil weeps and slowly vents the toxins, giving a warning of things to come (Georgia). Then, when the skin loses its integrity it ruptures; spreading the septicity across the rest of the body to be mopped up by those most revolted by the mess (Crimea). Those most revolted by the sepsis of Putin’s and Obama’s duplicity will be Europe and the nations formerly composing the old USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). Those needing to recognize Obama’s efforts to neuter the “American Eagle” when it most desperately needs to face-off against the rabid “Russian Bear” are right here in America. What Obama and Putin are doing is in the individual’s backyard. The American citizen needs to stand against those seeking to remove them from: “a particular set of ideals…the belief that through conscience and free will, each of us has the right to live as we choose, the belief that power is derived from the consent of the governed and that laws and institutions should be established to protect that understanding.” Obama needs to be reined in and forced to honor the words he so glibly throws around both here and in Europe. Thanks for listening
