ObamaCare has to be one of the biggest boondoggles in the history of this nation: Lost insurance, Lost doctors, Lost prescription coverage, Premiums soar

Gallup: Only half the number Obama's touting have gained health insurance

When President Obama goes around talking about 7.1 million people signing up for ObamaCare, you have to remember he's doing that because the administration established 7 million many months ago as the must-have number that would make it plausible for ObamaCare to work. It looked for months like they weren't going to get anywhere near that, and that prompted the all out marketing blitz that at least they claim got them over the bare minimum hump.

Even if they did get 7.1 million people to sign up, it's not great achievement, since they themselves called it the minimum they needed. But when you actually look inside the numbers, as Gallup has, you find there's much less to this supposed milestone than Obama and his media servants want you to think. For one thing, when you factor in the number of people who signed up for ObamaCare because their old insurance got cancelled, we only see a net increase of 3.5 million people who are newly insured. There were 48 million when Obama took office. We tore our entire health insurance system from its roots for a net increase of 3.5 million? That's it? But it gets worse. We still don't know how many of the 7.1 million people who signed up will never get coverage because they won't ever pay their premiums. People in the industry say experience suggests it could be around 20 percent. But it gets worse still. Take a look at this chart: Gallup: Only half the number Obama's touting have gained health insurance In 2008, when George W. "Just Blame Me For Everything" Bush was still in office, we only had 14.4 percent of the population uninsured. Today, after five-plus years of Obama policies capped off by the implementation of ObamaCare, we're at 15.6 percent. It's higher now. After everything the Democrats have put us through, after shoving ObamaCare down our throats, after the web site failures, the delays, the on-the-fly rule changes, the threats of fines . . . after everything, the percentage of people uninsured is higher now than it was when Bush was in the White House and Obama was campaigning for the job. What a colossal failure. And these people have the nerve to take a victory lap because they barely and almost certainly fraudulently achieved the bare minimum number they told us they needed for the whole thing not to collapse like a house of cards. And that doesn't even get into all the stories of people who have lost their insurance, lost their doctors, lost the prescription coverage, seen their premiums soar . . . ObamaCare has to be one of the biggest boondoggles in the history of this nation. I just hope enough people understand real facts like these so they go to the polls in November armed with the knowledge and prepared to make the Democrats pay the price for what they've done. God knows the rest of us are.
