It took four years for a couple to track down their favourite artist after the art gallery where they first saw her work closed.
Natasha and John Mason from Crickhowell, Powys first saw the work of Annabel Greenhalgh, who is renowned for her pastels of sand dunes, in a gallery in Hay on Wye in 2010. They fell in love with her work 'Shadowed Dunes'. "As is often the way we went away to think about the painting before buying," says Mrs Mason. "We returned to the gallery only to find that it had closed. Four years later, whilst staying in a lodge at Bluestone, we saw Annabel's work once again."

Annabel adds: "I had been commissioned by Bluestone and my prints hang in their lodges. Mr and Mrs Mason were so excited to have found me and came to my studio to discuss a commissioned piece. I have now produced a 60 x 80cms Sand Dune pastel incorporating a hint of Schmincke iridescent pastel which Mrs Mason had amazingly remembered from the pastel painting she saw in Hay on Wye." Mrs Mason concludes: "John and I are absolutely delighted with the painting! A fine way to celebrate 10 years of marriage." Annabel Greenhalgh has just launched a correspondence course for budding artists with disabilities.
