General Shinseki - Veterans Summer Celebration Permit

Shinseki (USA - Retired) Secretary, Department of Veterans Affairs Headquarters, Washington, DC General Shinseki: More than three months ago, Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9 officially filed for a land use permit for the Fourth Annual Veterans Summer Celebration & Picnic to be held August 2, 2014 on the Grand Lawn of the Los Angeles VA. It still has not received approval.

I recently spoke with Mr. Jeff Blake and he said they are waiting for your executive director, Donna Beiter, to approve or disapprove the permit. This intentional delay by Ms. Beiter is simply an extension of her endless war and retaliation against Veterans. Had you fired Ms. Beiter more than five years ago when you were first forewarned about her and all the anti-Veteran corruption at the Los Angeles VA, you wouldn't have become a Defendant in a landmark lawsuit exposing the biggest and most shameful real estate scandal in American history. Today, fellow Americans celebrate the 211th anniversary of the Louisiana Purchase, the biggest and most progressive real estate deal in American history

April 30, 2014 More than 200 years ago, patriotic American leaders were proudly expanding the greatness of America by 828,000 square miles. Today your Los Angeles bureaucrat-in-chief is shamefully denying America's Military Veterans access to a very small parcel of land that was exclusively deeded in their behalf 126 years ago. All we're asking is to use a small piece of our land for five hours to honor our World War II Veterans and to celebrate an afternoon of fellowship and camaraderie. For anyone operating under the public trust of the United States Government to intentionally deny this humble and noble request is as traitorous and un-American as could ever be imagined. The record reflects that you've been warned and forewarned over and over about the most corrupt, vindictive and retaliatory VA in the nation and you have done absolutely nothing to end it. Instead, you have aided and abetted in expanding this sleazy and despicable corruption. Correspondingly, you shamefully and disrespectfully fought the ACLU lawsuit and lost, which resulted in a Federal Judgment entered against you and your fellow Defendant for engaging in real estate dealings that are "unauthorized by law and therefore void." Now you've appealed the Judgment even though U.S. Congressman Henry Waxman requested that you not. Moreover, under your own Department's approval, Donna Beiter is now huckstering on behalf of Sue Young and her homeowner group's illegal real estate deal with the VA to raise money for an illegal public park. She is doing this under the false auspices of Veterans Park Conservancy (VPC) operating as a "partner" of the VA, while the illegal agreement specifically prohibits VPC from making any implications that they are a partner of the VA. Now Sue Young and her wealthy Brentwood cronies are using Ms. Beiter to raise money to build an illegal public entertainment amphitheater on these sacred grounds under the ruse of it being "therapy" for our disabled Veterans. There are already two theaters illegally open to the public, as is the so-called "Meditation Garden" that is used for outdoor theater. How much lower can you and this cabal sink and stink? This is gutter politics and cesspool corruption at its worst, and you are swimming downstream in it. What Donna Beiter is doing in the VPC video is egregiously illegal. She is a federal employee under your supervision acting as a spokesperson for a private non-profit organization to seek donations from the general public to build a public park that has already been adjudicated in Federal Court as "unauthorized by law." The record will reflect that Defendant Donna Beiter, who is not a Veteran, publicly and aggressively supports non-Veteran Sue Young's illegal public park scam while intentionally denying Vietnam Veterans of America (a Plaintiff in the ACLU lawsuit ) from holding an annual Veterans Summer Celebration and Picnic. Ms. Beiter also has a Federal Judgement against her for violating my Constitutional Right to Free Speech and she is in full violation of her Oath of Office and public trust to support and defend the U.S. Constitution. General, you are also in violation of your own Oath of Office because you have continuously defended her misconduct instead of our U.S. Constitution. Nevertheless, you were notified more than a month ago (twice - see below) about this intentional blocking of our land use permit for an afternoon Veteran picnic and you have done nothing on behalf of your fellow Veterans to accommodate this simple over-the-counter request. On the other hand, the illegal long-term land use deals you are involved in took place at the largest VA in the nation that was exclusively deeded in 1888 as a National Home for Disabled Veterans. Instead of compassionately providing necessary housing and care for war-injured and homeless Veterans, you and fellow Defendant Beiter misappropriated this land for the benefit of non-Veteran entities and non-Veteran use. Because of this malicious malfeasance and intentional neglect and abuse of Veterans land at the expense of disabled and needy Veterans, Los Angeles is our nation's capital for homeless Veterans, which has forced tens of thousands of war-injured and impoverished Veterans to live homeless and hungry in deplorable and inhumane conditions . Unknown thousands of disabled and homeless Veterans have fought a long battle against our own government on U.S. soil and lost their lives to a slow death of disease, exposure and starvation. Some of their lives ended by murder on the dangerous streets of Los Angeles. Many have overdosed from an over abundance of VA-distributed drugs. Out of desperation, countless other war-injured Veterans ended the never-ending war consumed within their own mind by committing suicide. You claim that you will end Veteran homelessness by next year but you've never publicly revealed a plan to do so, yet you claim that Veteran homeless is declining. Actually, you are correct as this devastating loss of life to homeless Veterans is nothing shy of systematic Veteran genocide. All of this because your bureaucrats at the Los Angeles VA have failed to honor a land gift on behalf of disabled and destitute Veterans who were promised proper housing and care on these sacred grounds. While Napoleon sold the massive Louisiana Territory to the United States Government so that he could wage war against neighboring European countries, you and your fellow Defendant have shamefully given away United States Government land to neighboring communities so that you can wage war against our disabled and homeless Veterans. General Napoleon's many wars took the lives of millions of troops who where engaged during battle -- in addition to death by disease, exposure and starvation -- the same devastation as your own Department's war against America's disabled and needy Veterans that continues to take such a heavy and unnecessary toll. General Napoleon's ultimate defeat in the Waterloo Campaign ended his military career and his rule as Emperor of France General, the Los Angeles VA is your own Waterloo and, like Napoleon, it will disgrace your once-esteemed military career and end your Emperorship of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
