Dear Friends,
On June 11 in Phoenix, Arizona, Father Kenneth Walker of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter was murdered in his rectory and his Pastor, was seriously injured and is now recovering. Father Walker was ordained only two years ago and was 28; he was also a graduate of Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy in Barry’s Bay, Ontario.
One month to the date, on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. a Solemn Requiem Mass according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite – the Roman Missal of 1962 will be celebrated for the repose of his soul. This is the Form of the Roman Rite that Father Walker celebrated daily. The Mass will be held at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church at 2210 Lawrence Avenue East, just west of Kennedy Road in Scarborough. Please feel free to share the posters with your friends or on social media.
Reverend Fathers and Deacons, you are graciously welcome to attend in choir. Please bring a cassock and surplice and black stole (alb and purple stole will suffice if the previous is not available).
