Basically, it's 'amnesty for everyone!'

VIDEO: Rep. Luis Gutierrez explains what Obama's executive orders on amnesty could look like

Usually, when we talk about something that happened on-air at MSNBC, we're talking about someone saying something insane - like that time Chris Matthews was whining about the Tea Party's connection to "Nazi stuff." Their hosts and guests are usually crackpots, so we have a lot of fun with it. Today, however, they've given us something that's actually meaningful.
Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL, of course) appeared on MSNBC's Chris Hayes show, and he basically outlined what the left is hoping President Obama will do via his executive orders on amnesty. There are three groups that they would like to see protected: First up? The parents of Dream Act beneficiaries. There are currently over 500,000 illegals currently enjoying deferred deportation thanks to the dream act and Gutierrez would like to see that deferment extended to their parents. So, with two parents each, that's a little over 1,000,000 more illegals who would be allowed to stay in the U.S.

Next are the parents of any of the 5 million "undocumented" children currently in the United States. According to Gutierrez's numbers, this would meansomewhere in the neighborhood of another 10 million illegals. Finally, Guitierrez would like to see anyone who would have been covered under the Senate's immigration reform bill receive amnesty - even though that bill never passed. Like most Democrats, Gutierrez is hoping Obama will simply set himself up as a dictator and enact the Senate's law even though doing so would violate virtually every founding principle (and constitutional law) upon which the U.S. government stands. If you're doing some very simple math, Gutierrez has just outlined a plan that would grant amnesty to well over 11 million illegals. Considering that 12 million is the regularly cited total number of illegals currently in the United States, the liberal wish list basically includes ...everyone. Of course, once we extend the "deportation deferrals," progs will set about making sure these people aren't "disenfranchised" by being denied the basic American right to vote, then they can tip the scales in state elections and pry the borders open even further. It remains to be seen how much of Gutierrez's left-wing blueprint the President will grant, but make no mistake. He'd love to do all of it, and he just might. We've seen that Obama has no problem overstepping the boundaries of his power and, since the GOP is too scared to rein him in, the only check against his overreach has been the Supreme Court. If he grants some kind of blanket amnesty, it will be in effect for months - perhaps years - before the high court will hear any cases that could overturn it. By that time, just as it is with Obamacare, it would be very hard to undo the damage. Video of the Gutiérrez appearance can be seen below, courtesy of Soopermexican. The text in the video is his.
