Wait, what!?

Obama says he doesn't really watch the news because he already knows the things they're reporting about

Time and time again we've heard the same official story: "We learned about it from watch the news reports, just like you." It's become the go to response whenever a new Obama administration scandal breaks. In fact, it's become so ubiquitous that it's been roundly mocked in virtually every conceivable media outlet.

Now, Obama is trying to tell us that we have it all wrong. He doesn't waste time watching the news. There's no reason to do so, because his finger is so firmly on the pulse of his administration that he already knows everything that they're going to be reporting. Seriously. That's what he's claiming. ...Apparently with a straight face. From the Washington Times:
In scandal after scandal in the Obama administration, President Obama has said he didn’t know about the problems until he heard it on the news. But the president changed his tune about his supposed ignorance at a Democratic fundraiser near Seattle on Tuesday night. Mr. Obama told supporters that he doesn’t watch the news because, “Whatever they’re reporting about, usually I know.” That contrasts with the explanations that the president and his aides have given from scandals in the past few years ranging from long wait times and deaths at the VA, to the IRS targeting tea party groups, to the Fast and Furious gun-running operation, and the Department of Justice spying on news reporters.
Hmmm.... Here's a nice montage of the President "learning" about things ....including the VA scandal, Fast & Furious, the DOJ targeting the AP, the IRS targeting conservatives, and on, and on, and on. Huh. Certainly seems like he watches the news and pays attention to the press. Maybe not watching the news is a new strategy, so he won't have to find out about all the illegal things his administration is doing. Hey, Jon Stewart, where do YOU think the President learns about things?
