Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev's sister arrested for making bomb threat

Yesterday, in New York, the sister of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev was arrested for allegedly threatening to blow someone up in what appears to be some kind of weird love triangle situation. You will, of course, remember the Tsarnaevs as the infamous terrorist duo behind the Boston Marathon bombing, which took place back in April of 2013.
From the Boston Globe:
A sister of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects was arrested in New York on Wednesday after allegedly threatening a woman in a domestic harassment case, saying, “I have people that can go over there and put a bomb on you.” Ailina Tsarnaev of North Bergen, N.J., was arrested at a police station in New York City Wednesday afternoon, charged with one count of aggravated harassment. She was released with a summons to return to a criminal court in Manhattan on Sept. 3, said police Lieutenant John Grimpel. Grimpel said the victim of Ailina Tsarnaev’s alleged threat has a child with the father of one of Tsarnaev’s children. Grimpel did not elaborate on the nature of the dispute.

Two things about this: First: If being the sister of a pair murderous carjackers and radical Islamic mad-bombers is the only reason anyone has ever heard your name; you may want to cool it on the bomb-talk. Second: If the story is correct, Tsarnaev says “I have people that can go over there and put a bomb on you.” That's present tense. Assuming she's not just making some kind of idle threat based on the fact that everyone knows her family's history, Ailina Tsarnaev is claiming that she is still connected to people capable of carrying out an explosive attack. Maybe she's just trying to "talk big" in an effort to intimidate someone, but one would hope that the feds are taking this seriously. The government's seemingly uncanny ability to downplay the hazards posed by dangerous people - going all the way back to Bin Laden in the 90's - has got to stop. If Ailina Tsarnaev really does still have connections to persons who could pull off such a crime, it needs to be investigated - thoroughly.
...Especially since, as NBC News reported, ignoring the Tsarnaev threat the first time may have allowed the Boston bombing to take place. The Russian government warned U.S. authorities that Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev was a violent radical Islamist more than a year and a half before the April 2013 bombing, but authorities missed multiple chances to detain Tsarnaev when he was traveling to and from Dagestan for terror training, according to a soon-to-be released Congressional report. In one instance, according to the report prepared by investigators for the House Homeland Security Committee and copies of documents reviewed by NBC News, Tsarnaev was supposed to be pulled aside for questioning at JFK airport because he was considered potentially armed and dangerous, but he slipped through undetected because someone had misspelled his last name in a security database.
