Ron (not Eric) Cantor: 7 points to 'help' John Kerry pimp for Islam

Since John Kerry is predictably spewing the nonsense that ISIS "distorts one of the world's great peaceful religions," writer Ron Cantor has decided to "help" with a new piece for Charisma Magazine that offers seven key facts about Islam. Except . . . it's actually not that helpful if the idea is to absolve Islam. Cantor, who is director of the Israeli-based Messiah's Mandate International, apparently does not share the fear embraced by politicians and the mainsteam media of telling the truth about the nature and history of Islam.
I won't steal Charisma's clicks by excerpting all seven points, but I think you'll appreciate points 2 and 3:
2. Muhammad was an honorable, humble man. In truth, he was a murderous despot with an insatiable sexual appetite. While according to his revelations, a Muslim man could have up to four wives, Muhammad was allowed as many as he wanted, including sex slaves captured in battle (as ISIS does). In all, it is believed that the prophet had sexual relations with 66 women and girls. Yes, girls. His most infamous wife was the child prophetess Aisha, whom he wed at age 6, but mercifully waited until she was 9 to consummate the marriage. The Nigerian Boko Haram terrorists who kidnapped nearly 300 young girls in order to convert them and force them into marriage and ISIS, which is doing the same in Iraq and Syria, are only following the example of Muhammad. Older Muslim men marrying children is common today. The five nations with the highest percentage of child brides all have a Muslim majority!

3. Islam respects other religions. Within an Islamic state, other religions like Judaism and Christianity are sometimes tolerated, provided that you pay a jizah, a special tax, and you do not offend Islam. Seeking to bring Muslims into your faith can be problematic. In Saudi Arabia it is illegal to seek to convert someone from Islam or to give out literature such as Bibles. One Filipino businessman was arrested, tortured and sentenced to death for leading several house churches. He was reluctantly set free due to international pressure.
Let's tell the truth here. Despite secularists' insistence on "the Crusades" or whatever supposedly happened 1,000 years ago, it's easy to distinguish different faith systems by their fruits. No group of human beings is perfect because this is a fallen world, but where are the beheadings in the name of Jesus Christ? Where are the suicide bombers blowing up themselves and others in the name of Jesus? Where are the hijackings, the chemical weapon attacks, the shoe bombings . . . I think you get the idea. The only people who do these things in the name of any faith systems whatsoever do it in the name of Islam. Even the Westboro Baptist Church creeps aren't violent. They're just jerks. Politicians and the media entertain this "religion of peace" nonsense where Islam is concerned because they're scared. They know perfectly well it isn't true. What Ron Cantor demonstrates here is that this is not the mere "radicalization" of an otherwise peaceful faith system, but the logical conclusion of what the Koran really says. Why does this matter? It matters because we delude ourselves if we fight against ISIS without admitting to ourselves what ISIS really is. I suppose you could argue we can't really tell the truth publicly about Islam when we're so dependent on Middle Eastern nations to do the fighting on the ground for us. But that raises two issues: 1. It's one thing to keep your thoughts to yourself about the true nature of Islam because you have to in order to get cooperation. It's another thing to engage is a false propaganda campaign portraying Islam as peaceful when it's really not. 2. We're fools (or I should say, Obama and Kerry are fools) to completely close off the option of doing the fighting ourselves. They're doing that because of the political dynamics - which were created entirely by them and their political allies, by the way - and not because it's the best strategy for winning this fight. Anyway, be sure to click over to Charisma - which is an excellent site I read daily, by the way - and read all seven of Cantor's points. I bet there are some facts in there that you didn't know about Islam, but you should know them.
