Committed Socialist Senator, Bernie Sanders, recorded a truly awful folk album ..Let's listen!

There's an old adage in politics: "If you're a committed socialist who hopes to one day become a self-proclaimed socialist an independent Senator from the state of Vermont, don't record a terrible album of folk songs."

OK, fine. That's not really an old adage - but, thanks to Vermont's Bernie Sanders, it probably will be now. That's because, back in 1987, then Burlington Mayor Sanders recorded what may go down in history as the worst folk-music record of all time. It seems that Sanders was not content to simply fight for abortion politically. So, he created the musical abortion known as "Bernie Sanders and 30 Vermont Artists - We Shall Overcome." Overcome what? I don't know. But here's the cover: The album was released on the now-defunct Burlingtown Records label and was quickly forgotten. Thanks to the internet, however, we can all enjoy it ....forever. So, without further ado, treat yourself to a few of the best selections from Senator Sanders' "singular" musical achievement. Below, you'll find renditions of "This Land is Your Land," "Oh Freedom," and, of course, "Where Have all the Flowers Gone" - each performed with the joyful subtlety only an anti-constitutional left-wing politician can muster. Of special note: the well known, time-honored, passages in "Flowers" where he screams about "LASER BEAMS!" and speculates about the body count of WWIII.
