Fauxcahontas is 'the dream.'

Politico's Mike Allen: Dem donors don't want Hillary. Would prefer to support a fake Cherokee.

Hillary Clinton's political troubles - among them the inability to name a single accomplishment as Secretary of State, her "dead broke" comments, and the Benghazi debacle - are numerous and well-documented. They're why her as-yet-unannounced-but-supposedly-destined-for-victory presidential bid has had so much trouble gaining traction. Now, she's got a new problem: her own base.
The Democrat party has moved so far left that they apparently view Hillary some kind of rabid right winger. Her uber-progressive constituents have goose-stepped right past her and Hillary has failed to keep pace. At least, that appears to be the argument that the Politico's Mike Allen made on Morning Joe yesterday. Some of the Dems top Donors, he claims, have become less and less enamored with the former first lady. "They think she's too hawkish, too close to Wall Street - they're concerned about her views on climate, on money and politics and, of course, these are all issues that people give money on.” Yes, the irony of top donors whining about Clinton's views on "money and politics" is duly noted.

Allen said that Politico reporter Ken Vogel "talked to some of the biggest donors in the Democratic Party and they would love to fund a challenger to her - if nothing else to push her to the left on these issues." So, who would they like? According to Allen, they're chomping at the bit to give money to Massachusetts ultra-lib Senator Elizabeth Warren because she's "the dream." You may remember that Warren famously earned the nickname "Fauxcahontas" when it was discovered that she liked to lie about being part Cherokee because she thought it would grease the wheels in terms of job recruitment. Once her false claim was exposed, she cited her family's propensity to sport high cheekbones as evidence of her heritage. Warren currently says she will not run in 2016, but that's what everyone says until they decide they're going to throw their hat in the ring. You simply never know what the next year will bring. The only thing you can count on is that Dems will label any man who disagrees with her a misogynist. In the meantime, remember: A fake Cherokee is better than a "hardcore conservative" like Hillary Clinton. That's the modern Democratic Party. A party so far to the left that even dyed in the wool liberals like the Clintons have trouble staying in the fold. It seems that the candidate who was once seen as an inevitability is increasingly looking like a floundering albatross.
