Obama says GOP is the party of billionaires - attends $32,000-per-plate fundraiser

If you're one of the unfortunate souls whose inbox is clogged with daily emails from political parties, you're used to the begging. Usually, they go something like 'if you don't send us five bucks, evil politician X will destroy the future of America!" Sometimes you get "political party X wants to do X, Y, and Z. Send them a message by donating today!"
Both parties do it in equal measure and, yes, it gets really, really, annoying. Most of the time, it's so generic that no one bothers to comment on it. However, on Tuesday Barack Obama sent out an email that takes shameful hypocrisy to new heights. “If the Republicans win, we know who they’ll be fighting for,” the email says. “Once again, the interests of billionaires will come before the needs of the middle class." First of all, President Obama has been relentless in his praise, support, and slavish devotion to people like George Soros, Warren Buffet, and Tom Steyer. He's also directly responsible for bailing out the millionaires and billionaires who woefully mismanaged the auto industry and he's taken corporate cronyism within his own administration to new heights. He talks a good game about shunning the 'evil rich,' but his actions tell a different story. The fact that he and his team have the audacity to attack anyone for supporting the interests of the wealthy is laughable.

It's particularly ridiculous when you realize that - at the same time his people were sending out his anti-billionaire email - he headed to a series of high-end fundraising events. ...Where his wealthiest supporters forked over up to $32,400.00 a plate to mingle with the President. ...In the home of a billionaire real estate mogul. ...Named - and you can't make this stuff up - Rich Richman. As the Daily Mail reports:
President Barack Obama chided the Republican Party for catering to the 'interests of billionaires' in an email to supporters on Tuesday, then attended a series of high-dollar fundraisers, including one at real estate mogul Rich Richman's house. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee fundraiser at Richman's house in Greenwich, Connecticut, cost as much as $32,400 a person, according to the White House. The other two events, held in New York and sponsored by the Democratic National Committee, cost between $1,000 and $32,400 to attend. As Obama was yucking it up with wealthy Democratic donors, he sent out a fundraising email slamming the GOP for being in the pocket of billionaires, the Washington Times reports. 'If the Republicans win, we know who they’ll be fighting for,' Obama allegedly wrote. 'Once again, the interests of billionaires will come before the needs of the middle class.'
So remember, everyone. Barack Obama and the Democrat Party do not - I repeat do not - protect the interests of wealthy fatcats. They're focused on "the little guy." Millionaires and Billionaires need not apply. ...Unless, of course, they donate gobs of money and have extremely ironic names like Rich Richman.
