Five of Mary Gillett’s students have been selected for the Royal West of England Academy's 162nd Open Exhibition this year. “Alli Eynon’s linocut ‘Big pig’ was chosen,” says Mary, who runs printmaking courses at her home in Devon, UK. “Also selected were Ley Roberts’ etching, ‘Startled’, Tanya Morel’s 'Greedy Gwen', a beautiful abstract monoprint by Dorothy Hanna and some work by Rachel Heseltine.” Those wishing to gain valuable skills from Mary will pleased to hear that her next five day workshop runs from October 27. This is followed by a two day workshop on November 29. “These are suitable for beginners and advanced alike and you can work with etching, collagraph, linocut, drypoint - anything you like really,” says Mary. “The courses work on a bespoke basis, so we can plan according to your individual needs.”
