They could have at least used Obama's "workplace violence" angle...

AP abandons reality with one of the worst headlines in its horrible history

Yesterday, I alluded to the long, storied, history of bias at the Associated Press. Today, we have a brand new example - and it may be the worst one we've ever seen.
Wednesday, in Israel, a group of commuters were standing together, waiting for a train. Sadly, a Palestinian terrorist with a history of anti-Israeli violence was driving by - and he decided he'd try to kill as many of the pedestrians as possible. By plowing his vehicle into the crowd, he wounded eight victims and, tragically, killed a three-month-old infant. She was, as are both of her parents, a U.S. citizen. Here's how the AP reported the incident:
"A Palestinian motorist with a history of anti-Israel violence slammed his car into a crowded train station in Jerusalem on Wednesday, killing a three-month-old baby girl and wounding eight people in what police called a terror attack."

The attack was caught on film, and absolutely no one seems to doubt that it was intentional. In fact, the driver jumped out of his car and tried to escape the scene after the incident. He was shot by Israeli police. Unfortunately the attacker, a member of Hamas who "has served time in Israeli prison for terrorism," managed to survive. He's currently in serious condition. So where's the bias? Take a look at the AP's headline: Not "Terrorist kills 3-month-old infant." Not "Terrorist uses car to attack Israeli civilians." Not "Police shoot terrorist in east Jerusalem" Not, as it was described in the Times of Israel, "Baby killed as car rams crowd in Jerusalem terror attack." Nope. Instead, the AP went with "Israeli police shoot man in east Jerusalem" as if the cops just decided to plug some random guy who was walking down the street. Almost immediately, the AP began receiving flak over the piece, so they decided to delete and replace the header with something less ....asinine. Unfortunately, they failed again. The second headline reported the incident as a crash, claiming "Car slams into east Jerusalem train station." Finally, amid a mounting social media outcry, they managed to muster the nerve to admit something resembling the truth. Their thrid, and so far final, headline reads "Palestinian kills baby at Jerusalem station." But isn't it incredibly sad that they had to be shamed into doing so? The fact that their first instinct is to bury the terrorism angle under such an obviously slanted headline is simply pathetic. ....and it tells you everything you need to know about the Associated Press.
