Driving Democrats nuts....

New poll shows Scott Walker increasing lead, heading for a win in Wisconsin

If there's one Republican Governor who absolutely drives Democrats up the wall, it's Wisconsin's Scott Walker. They tried to stop him in 2010, tried to prevent him from salvaging Wisconsin's economy and, after he succeeded anyway, tried to remove him from office in 2012. However, each time Dems try to stop Walker, they fail - badly. As a result, he's pretty much become their conservative "public enemy no.1." ...Now he's in his third campaign in four years and it looks like the lefties are about to lose - again.
Two weeks ago, the highly regarded Marquette Law School poll showed Walker in a dead heat. The race was essentially tied among likely voters with 47% supporting Walker and 47% supporting Democrat Mary Burke. Yesterday, they released their latest poll - the last before Election Day. According to the new data, Walker has surged to a seven point lead among likely voters. He also leads by one point among all registered voters.

When you break things down by gender, he's closed his gap among women while retaining strong support among men: ...And he's absolutely crushing his challenger among Independents. So, what's the reason? Well, assuming the numbers hold out, he's simply done a good job and the majority recognizes that fact. As you can see, Walker's approval among likely voters is substantial.  That means the Democrats' last hope of ousting him will rely on voter turnout. We've all heard endless stories about their amazing vote-buying "get out the vote" efforts, but do the pollsters think it will be enough? Hmmmmm. 5 days left.....
