Uh-huh. Right. They needed MORE of Obama. Sure thing.

MSNBC desperation: Dems would have won if they'd just cozied up to Obama

Watching MSNBC today is simply wonderful. The hosts and talking heads are all scrambling as they desperately try to figure out what the heck happened to their party last night. Still, there's one thing more fun than their complete, abject, befuddlement.
That's the fact that - when they actually come to a conclusion about their historic loss - it's completely wrong. The case in point is their newfound belief that distancing themselves from Obama cost them the election. In their warped view, Democrats tried to be too "moderate" in an effort to make themselves more palatable. To the same end, they turned their backs on their President. The net result, it seems, is that voters were turned off and refused to support the party. It had nothing to do with obvious fact that the vast majority of the country despises Obama's policies and leadership failures.

In fact, it was exactly the opposite. People didn't vote for Democrats because not standing with your president isn't "a good look." See? If Dems want to win in the future, the brain trust at MSNBC knows what they need to do: move further to the left, embrace deeply unpopular positions, and shout it from the rooftops. Let's hope they do. It's clear to virtually everyone who doesn't work for MSNBC that last night’s results were a painful rejection of this President, his party, and their policies. If Democrats are going to ignore that lesson? More power to them!
