VIDEO: MSNBC panel can't think of a single reason Hillary Clinton should run

When conservatives hear someone say "Jeb Bush might run," the claim is invariably met with eye-rolling and a resounding chorus of "why?" The GOP has a deep bench, a pile of attractive candidates, and a chance to move forward instead of back. Bush feels like a retro candidate being foisted on the base by the elites who run the party.
Over on the Democrat side of the aisle things are somewhat the same, except - unlike Jeb Bush - the person at whom they roll their eyes is Hillary Clinton ...their presumptive 2016 nominee. Oh, and they don't have the deep bench or the young prospects. Unfortunately for Dems, even the faithful on MSNBC's Morning Joe panel tried desperately to come up with a reason Hillary should run for President ...and they couldn't. “At this moment," Bloomberg's John Heilemann said, "beyond ‘it’s now her turn, it’s her time,’ there’s not a clear articulated rationale for the candidacy as of yet.” Basically, the argument is that Clinton is a throwback candidate who's saddled with a mountain of baggage, has no new ideas, and is prone to train wreck moments like the whole "we were broke" debacle. On top of all that, she's yet to offer a compelling reason to vote for her. Scarborough compared her to Ted Kennedy, who - back in 1979 - famously stumbled when asked why he wanted to be President. The answer, as it is with Hillary, seemed to be "I have the right last name so it's my turn."

To be fair, aside from Scarborough, most of the libs at MSNBC would prefer Elizabeth Warren because she's perceived as being far, far, far to the left of Hillary Clinton. While it's true that Hillary’s done a better job at hiding her radical tendencies, the idea that she's some kind of centrist is laughable. ...But we're talking about a group of people who thought ObamaCare was going to work, so logic obviously isn't their strong suit. In the end, it's Huffington Post political reporter Sam Stein who really nails Hillary's biggest problem: Her tenure in the Obama administration. It isn't just that she can't come up with a reason she should be President, it's that she's a key player in one of history's worst, most roundly rejected, administrations. “Let's be honest about what her big problem is. As much as it’s rationale for her candidacy," Stein said. "Part of the problem is Obama. She was part of his administration. He’s been in office for 8 years or will have been. Clearly voters have soured on the guy.” Given that Obama looks like he's going to spend the next two years fighting for every single policy that voters rejected in the midterms, that stigma is only going to get worse. The Morning Joe crew may not realize it yet, but Elizabeth Warren's staunch support for the goals of the Obama Presidency means it's a problem she will share. The clip appears below.
