Gruber claims RomneyCare was a clever way to 'rip off' $400 million a year from the feds

"Republicans created RomneyCare, they loved it, and it was the basis for ObamaCare. The only reason they hate ObamaCare is that they're racists."
That was the battle cry when ObamaCare was still being "debated." It wasn't true, of course. Rank and file members of the GOP hated RomneyCare just as much as they despised ObamaCare. The elites in the party may have been looked the other way, but the base was always opposed. The fact that Mitt was "trying to have it both ways" was - from day one - a major problem for his campaign. In fact, his involvement with the Massachusetts healthcare law was so toxic that, in 2012, it would emerge as one of the main examples of his "flip flopping" and served as a solid response when people were asked why 3 million registered Republicans failed to turn out for Romney. Now, Jonathan Gruber - the ObamaCare architect who thinks you're stupid and is totally unknown to Nancy Pelosi - has a new video. Prior to be being paid to trick the CBO and lie to the American people, he was working to implement RomneyCare. In his newest clip he discusses the way that the original law, with the help of Ted Kennedy, was designed to "rip off" the feds to the tune of $400 million a year.

As you know, the feds don't really have any money to "rip off." What they have is a system to redistribute your money. So, what Gruber is gleefully discussing is a scam to fleece the American taxpayer. ...Namely, you. So,If you're part of the GOP base that was always skeptical of RomneyCare, Jonathan Gruber has proven you were right. Congratulations. RomneyCare was designed to leech tax money, limit choice, and ration care - just as ObamaCare was designed to do the same. ….Except, as Greta Van Susteren points out in the clip above, no one is coming to the ACA's rescue. At this point, it's hard to imagine a scenario where the Democrats' "signature achievement" hasn't been doomed by their own hubris. By the way, this is somewhere between the sixth and tenth embarrassing "Gruber" video to surface. If this keeps up, we're going to need Martha Quinn to do a top 100 countdown. "Enjoying its second week at number one is 'the voters are stupid' here we go!"
