Despite Lawless Immigration Decree, Obama Urges Ferguson Protesters to Honor Rule of Law!

Imagine yourself as a young black man living in Ferguson, Missouri and most eager to do the right thing as the Grand Jury prepares to release its decision on whether or not to indict white Police Officer Darren Wilson for slaying the unarmed black Gentle Giant, Michael Brown, on August 9.
On the one hand, your life experiences tell you that police racism is rampant throughout America and that justice demands that Wilson be indicted, convicted, and punished for his criminal act against a black brother of the street. On the other hand, you know that the Grand Jury has examined all the evidence thoroughly in accordance with strict rules concerning admissibility, hearsay, and the like. You have read that the Grand Jury evidence includes statements made by black witnesses, which support the police version of events on that fateful night in August. What to do? Whom to believe? Searching for moral and spiritual guidance, you tune in to President Obama’s November 20 address in which he announces his plan to issue Executive Orders to go around the US Congress in amending existing immigration law.

You have heard the president speak on prior occasions and explain why he could not act unilaterally on immigration without violating the Constitution. By his own admission, the president said that unilateral action would be illegal. More confusion and conflict. Then on Friday, November 21, the president speaks about the tinderbox in Ferguson and says, in part, the following:
"This is a country that allows everybody to express their views, allows them to peacefully assemble to protest actions that they think are unjust, but using any event as an excuse for violence is contrary to rule of law and contrary to who we are.”
Rule of law, Mr. President? Your mind boggles as you ponder the fact that the highest law authority in the land has ignored the rule of law by granting amnesty to 5 million invaders, but has the audacity to demand that protesters honor the rule of law with regard to what you see as outright murder of an unarmed black man by a white cop! In a moment of clarity, you remember an earlier statement by Obama regarding how to battle Republicans. He said:
"If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun," Obama said at a Philadelphia fundraiser.”
You turn away from the rule of law pap and head home to collect your gun for the protest!
