Veterans Park Conservancy (VPC), which is not a Veteran's organization – it’s a wealthy and powerful neighboring homeowner group -- entered into an illegal real estate deal with the VA for 16 acres of land deeded exclusively as a National Home for disabled and homeless Veterans. They received an illegal, rent-free agreement to build a public park on these sacred grounds instead of the VA building housing and care for disabled homeless Veterans.
There is a Federal Judgment against the VA for this real estate scam that includes eight others and the ACLU recently filed for a Temporary Restraining Order to stop VPCs illegal construction, but “Hollywood Judge” S. James Otero sides with the wealth and power and refuses to halt the construction of the “Hollywood amphitheater” as the VA continues to abuse and neglect our homeless Veterans.
