Now they're just trolling us... Lindsey Graham discusses Presidential bid

“I’m not doing it to make a statement."

That's the word from Lindsey Graham, who is actually considering a run for President. Yes, really. Just let that sink in. "President Lindsey Graham." Graham made the comments on the Hugh Hewitt show, where he was asked if he'd be on all 50 ballots. According to Graham, he would be. A potential Lindsey Graham candidacy wouldn't be some kind of experiment designed to score a political point before fading away. If he's in, he's in to win - and to change the country. "I’m doing it to change the country and offer what I have to offer to the American people and to my party. ...And I think I’m uniquely qualified to deal with the threats we’re talking about. So, when I hear a United States Senator trying to rationalize that Iraq created the problems in France and when I hear some libertarians on my side of the aisle associated with the Republican Party say that it is our interventionist policy that has brought people down on us, they don’t know what they’re talking about. When I hear the president of the United States and his chief spokesperson failing to admit that we’re in a religious war, it really bothers me. And I want to be somebody who can talk about the world as it really is.” If you're thinking that no one could possibly be interested in voting for President Lindsey Graham, you're right. So far, I've only heard one person who's cheering about this. That man is - of course - John McCain. Recently, while touring the Gitmo facility, McCain gave a press conference where he discussed Mitt Romney, and voiced his hopes that Graham would enter the fray.
McCain said Romney was dedicated to serving the country and was a fine and decent American with a reservoir of support and called himself "a great admirer of Mitt Romney's", but he said he was pushing Graham to run. "My illegitimate son Lindsey Graham is exploring that option," the two-time presidential candidate said, prompting laughter from reporters during a press conference on the prison at Guantanamo Bay. "So I am strongly encouraging Sen. Lindsey Graham, particularly with the world the way it is today. No one understands the world today in the way that Lindsey Graham does, in my view.
Last week, I wrote about Mike Huckabee's potential candidacy, calling it a thing "nobody demanded." However, by comparison, Huckabee looks like an absolute rock star. ...And maybe that's the point. Candidates from the hardcore RINO contingent have to know that they can't win. They simply have to. These men may be wrong about a lot of things, but they're not stupid people. So, at this point, I'm starting to wonder if we're just being trolled. What if all the Santorums, Huckabees, and Grahams are jumping in to make Jeb Bush and/or Mitt Romney more palatable by comparison? It's the only thing that makes sense. ...Unless they're really just that delusional.
