Sarah MacDonald from Campeltown has a minor role in a new whodunit by Ute Muegge Lauterbach, the German author. “Ute has set her latest book in Campbeltown and I appear as a minor character in it,” reveals Sarah, who grew up in Germany, her father was in the army. “However, in the next book (which is part of a comic detective series about a PI called Pippa Bolle) - I have a major role! - I lead a landscape photography workshop which discovers a body - apparently!” Sarah will also be taking photographs of three authors and Manuela Seubert, who will be handling PR for the books. “I’ll be travelling to Wiesbaden in south Germany to shoot the portrait sessions which will take a day and is for their press publicity and websites. I’m looking forward to exploring an area of the country I don't know and dredging up my very basic German.”
