Mr. Vitter wants to know why Congress continued to give lawmakers and staff subsidies to buy insurance on the health exchanges, while average Americans were prohibited from enrolling if their employers subsidized their coverage

Senator Vitter (R-Louisiana) Demands Answers to Health Care Inequality in ObamaCare!

Ordinary Americans have grown increasingly weary of the broken promises, double-crosses, and sheer abuse dished out by political elitists who reside in the political zoo that is Washington, D.C. In large measure, this indictment applies to both political parties and is causing some serious thinkers to speculate that secession may soon become a viable reality for dealing with national woes.
An example of outrageous elitism concerns the idiotic provision in ObamaCare that exempts members of Congress from the “Affordable Care Act.” If ACA is really an affordable and prudent law, why in the world is Congress not required to sign up and share the fruits of Marxist health care? And, for that matter, why would Congress critters even want out, if the damn ACA were just a smidgen of what the Obama-mites claim it to be? The answer, of course, comes back to the Jonathan Gruber syndrome: Congress and the Obama administration believe that the American people are fundamentally stupid toads who can be abused and violated at will, with impunity! Yet, there appears to be a glimmer of hope that at least one elected official is willing to tackle the volatile issue and use his powers as a US Senator to effect change, or at least get a reasonable explanation for the Health Care Inequality set forth in ObamaCare. Specifically, as reported at the reference:

Senator David Vitter redoubled his efforts to expose and undo Congress‘ “exemption” from ObamaCare Thursday, saying he will hold up one of President Obama’s nominees until he gets to the bottom of a health care deal he said gave members of Congress special treatment under the health law. The Louisiana Republican told Office of Personnel Management Director Katherine Archuleta that he will block the nomination of Earl L. Gay, whom Mr. Obama tapped to be Ms. Archuleta’s deputy, until he gets “thorough and complete” responses to his inquiries. Mr. Vitter wants to know why Congress continued to give lawmakers and staff subsidies to buy insurance on the health exchanges, while average Americans were prohibited from enrolling if their employers subsidized their coverage. The senator also wants to know why OPM allowed Congress to use a D.C. health exchange designed for small businesses. “Allowing Congress, which employs nearly 16,000 people, to determine itself as a ‘small business’ should not have passed the common sense test. Unfortunately, it appears that the White House, and in particular, OPM, may have had some role in this,” said Mr. Vitter, who is running this year to succeed Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. Mr. Vitter has become a chief critic of ObamaCare and how Congress has treated itself under the law.”
