Dept. of Veterans Affairs and our politicians

Bending the truth to set their needs

I guess it should surprise no one when the head of the Dept. of Veterans Affairs "exaggerated" his military service. After all, the guy at the top has no problem bending the truth to suit his needs. In fact, he sets an example so why would any of his underlings see a problem. Remember, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor"? or "Mr. Ayers was someone who lived in my neighborhood"? or "we will have the most transparent government in history"?

We have gotten nothing from this President but omission, obfuscation and outright lies created and perpetuated at the highest levels. Who would have thought that NBC would handle an incident of lying to America with more integrity than our own government? Arnold Avery Englewood, FL
