Solutions for a better America

All of America's woes start with poor national economic policy. Poor economic policy starts with taxes being too high and too many regulations. It's that simple in theory, but very difficult to reverse due to legislative and political, complexities.
Reducing taxes and halting regulations that impose hidden taxes on businesses and families require congressional action and presidential approval. It doesn't matter if it is the right thing to do for the good of the economy. It matters that it conforms to a political party's ideology. Namely, Democrats never want to reduce taxes, regulations or the size of government because their ideology is that big government is the answer to all of our problems, if those pesky Republicans would get out of the way. Democrats are able to drag this flawed concept from one election to another because they can always find enough ignorant or give-me-more-free-stuff voters to get re-elected. How else can you explain the constant re-election of people like Democrat Representatives Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and Corrine Brown of Florida and Charlie Rangel of New York, or Democrat Senators Harry Reid of Nevada, Chuck Schumer of New York or Dick Durbin of Illinois? Their collective record of liberal lunacy is unmatched. And their longevity allows them to block any good idea that is presented to Congress until it is sufficiently watered down or killed altogether.

Their favorite tactic is to keep telling the same lie against the positive impact of lower taxes and fewer regulations. They know that enough of their voters don't know the truth about lower taxes and fewer regulations, and that they don't have the time to study Economics 101. And when the economic ignorance assumption weakens, they use the always reliable race card. Even the white politicians use the race card to advance their ideological beliefs. In the Senate last week, Durbin played the race card to try to advance the nomination of Loretta Lynch for Attorney General. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has assured them that the Senate will get to it, and she probably will be confirmed, but the liberal Democrats want it now! This would help distract from the proposed GOP balanced budget debate, and a few other good ideas they haven't killed yet. Solution! Save the savable! I know this is not a new revelation if you know me, but I have to keep reminding people of this to help counter the persistent lies repeated by the liberal Democrats. During the presidential debates of 2011 when I was running for president, my response to nearly every economic question was "999", the tax code replacement system we developed to super-charge our economy. The media and the political establishment made light of that persistent response, but many people paying attention started to get the idea. Replace the tax code and you solve a lot of problems! Imagine an economy growing in excess of 4 percent annually. This would mean businesses would be expanding and creating jobs. People would be able to find full-time good paying jobs or careers. Median family incomes would be on the rise, and more families would be able to pay down their mounting debt from this stalled economy. Tax revenues would be up and the federal government could borrow less if the bureaucrats would spend less. And as a bonus, Leroy and Bessie's college-educated children could move out of their basement and support themselves. Wow! I know this is a dream! But we have to have a dream to begin to get out of this economic nightmare we are in. Those that do not see this path of destruction are simply in denial. Worse yet, some people think America is too big to fail. Hello! We are not! Moving from poor economic policy to good economic policy starts with good, honest, accountable and responsible leadership. Oh well, we don't have any of that yet, which means our dream is stuck on stalled like the economy. But we must keep dreaming, or there will be no better America. I'm holding on to the dream.
