Far-left Democrat Martin O'Malley prepares to challenge Hillary with late-May campaign launch

Lefties hoping that someone - anyone - other than Hillary will steal her "inevitable" nomination have a faint glimmer of hope today. It looks like former Baltimore Mayor and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley is about to throw his far-left hat in the ring. He's a big social progressive, wants a $15 minimum wage, loves raising taxes, is a huge gun control guy and, if he was a fake indian instead of a white male, would probably be exactly what the Elizabeth Warren wing of the DNC is looking for.

According to the Politico, he's meeting with left coast donors this week in advance of a late-May campaign launch.
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley’s supporters are getting ready for a likely presidential campaign launch in Baltimore in late May, while the candidate meets with prospective donors in the San Francisco area this week. ... He is scheduled to appear at the South Carolina Democratic Party convention this weekend and will almost certainly stop in Iowa in the coming weeks, though details have not yet been finalized, according to aides. His stop in New Hampshire on May 13 for a state party fundraiser and house party will probably be one of his final pre-campaign trips. In late May, he will likely make his White House intentions official at an announcement in Baltimore, where he launched his political career and served.
You may know Baltimore as the city which, in terms of crime, poverty, and mismanagement, gives Detroit a run for its money. O'Malley currently polls in sub-Biden territory, rarely managing to get near 5%, and the smart money is still on Hillary as a cinch for the nom. However, his low numbers are due in large part to the fact that almost no one West of Maryland knows who he is. Far-left Democrat Martin O'Malley prepares to challenge Hillary with late-May campaign launch Once Hillary opens her mouth and reminds people of their disinterest in making her the next President, it will be interesting to see if Dem voters defect to their only other choice.
