A Jan. 6 prisoner has filed a lawsuit against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Metropolitan Detention Center Deputy Warden Heriberto Tellez.
The lawsuit, filed on April 19 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, claims that Edward Jacob “Jake” Lang—currently being held as a pretrial detainee at the Metropolitan Detention Center in the Brooklyn borough of New York City—“continues to be held and transferred in violation of his Constitutional and human rights.” ---More...
