Finally, the 'Run Warren Run' movement decides to give up and go home

Finally, the 'Run Warren Run' movement decides to give up and go homeSince December, a weird coalition of left-wing money, Hollywood stars, and grass roots activists have been desperate to drag Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth "Cheekbones" Warren into the presidential race. Despite constant indications that she had no intention of seeking the presidency, they spent well over a million dollars trying to convince her to join the fight. The effort was supposed to position Warren as the far-left alternative to Hillary Clinton, but it was all for naught.

Fauxcahontas is still not running, and "run Warren Run" has decided to close up shop.
Six months after launching “Run Warren Run,” a quixotic campaign to draft Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren into the 2016 presidential race, the two progressive organizations behind it will call it quits and focus more broadly on a populist agenda in the 2016 presidential race, according to a spokesman. Democracy for America and MoveOn.org, which together spent $1.25 million dollars launching the campaign last December, plan to visit Warren’s Washington, DC office on June 8 and deliver a petition with 365,000 signatures asking the senator to run. The organizations will then pivot to more issue-specific advocacy, including thwarting the Trans-Pacific Partnership, an enormous, 12-nation free trade pact that liberals argue will kill jobs and reduce labor and environmental standards worldwide. Warren, who has said repeatedly that she has no intention of running for the White House, has been a staunch critic of the trade pact.
Maybe Warren understands that she's unelectable. Perhaps she simply doesn't want the job. Whatever her reasons, it looks like she's just not interested in the Oval Office. So her supporters will now have to go back to complaining about college loans, water shutoffs in Detroit, and their day jobs playing the Hulk. But wait! If you're a Democrat and you’re still desperate to back a Presidential candidate who's a guaranteed loser, we want you to know that you still have options. Hillary Clinton is trying everything in her power to make your dreams come true. If she’s not for you, loveable nutjob Bernie Sanders is already running, and the "Draft Joe Biden" movement is still trying to get history's goofiest Vice President into the race. So don't lose hope!
