Jeb takes a swipe at Hillary by releasing 33 years of personal tax returns

Jeb takes a swipe at Hillary by releasing 33 years of personal tax returns Don't look now, but Jeb Bush's campaign is about to set a record in terms of releasing tax information. This afternoon, Bush will release 33 years’ worth of personal income tax returns via his website. That's more than any other would-be nominee ever - by a wide margin. Only Bob Dole and John Kerry came close to this total, and the Bush release will outpace both of them by double digits.
As the AP reports:
Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush plans to release 33 years of his personal income tax returns on Tuesday, more than any previous candidate for president. The release, expected late afternoon, would include the eight years since Bush left the Florida governor's office when, as the member of several corporate boards, he saw his income rise sharply. Campaign spokeswoman Allie Brandenburger says Bush's decision "is consistent with the high level of disclosure he has practiced during his life in public office." In February, Bush released more than 275,000 emails in February that were sent to and from his private email account during his time as governor.
As the AP notes, this should pretty much crush the left-wing "where are your tax returns" nonsense that dogged Mitt Romney in 2012. It also puts the spotlight squarely on Hillary Clinton who, so far, is refusing to release anything.
Bush's action is also aimed at drawing a contrast with Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. She has filed the financial disclosure form required by the Federal Election Commission for presidential candidates but has not made public her tax returns, a more precise record of income.

Or as Time puts it:
Hillary Clinton released eight years of returns in 2008, but has yet to release her latest financial figures beyond the mandated filing of her assets with the Office of Government Ethics. Bush’s move adds pressure to Clinton, who is under fire, along with former President Bill Clinton, as being out-of-touch with average Americans for making tens of millions off speeches and books.
Yes, she released some info as part of her doomed 2008 campaign. During that time the Clintons' gross income was about $109 million. That's great, but she hasn't offered anything nearly as in-depth as what Bush is releasing here. Could it be that she doesn't want you to know the precise figure that she thinks qualifies a former First Lady as "dead broke?" Is she worried that people will see exactly how much she's receiving from her foundation? Turnabout is fair play, liberals. You railed against Romney for this. Will Hillary match Jeb? Aren't you just oh-so-outraged that your "inevitable" candidate is being so cagey? Don't you assume that - as you assumed of Mitt Romney - she has something to hide? Why is Hillary Clinton, a filthy one-percenter, unwilling to be as open as her Republican opponent? Heck, in the grand tradition of Harry Reid, anonymous, unnamed, and probably non-existent people are saying that Hillary doesn't pay her taxes at all. Why won't she release them and prove the naysayers wrong? How does she justify her refusal to be as forthcoming as Jeb Bush?
