Where is the CNN condemnation?

Ex-CNN anchor's life saved by gun rights CNN doesn't think you should have

Ex-CNN anchor's life saved by gun rights CNN doesn't think you should haveAnyone who spends any amount of time subjecting themself to the lunacy of CNN's primetime lineup is well aware of one simple fact. The "house that Turner built" is no fan of the 2nd Amendment. They've got a whole stable of anchors, reporters, and analysts whose entire raison d'etre is the limitation or elimination of your gun rights.
If social security is the third rail of politics, gun control is the third rail of left-wing media. ...And for at least the last decade CNN has been leading the charge. Fortunately, they've been unsuccessful. Thanks in part to their overzealous efforts, gun rights are currently on an upswing. That's great news, because concealed weapons probably just saved the lives of two former CNN family members. One's an Ex-anchor and the other was a special assignments correspondent. As Fox News reports:
Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Tanner Tidier said Tomorrow Walton, 27, was involved in the shooting, the Albuquerque Journal reports. Walton was on parole in Memphis, Tennessee before fleeing police. Officials are unsure how long Walton was in the city for. Former CNN anchor Lynne Russell said her husband Chuck de Caro, and Walton exchanged gunfire after the man entered their room at a Motel 6 on Albuquerque’s western edge and demanded jewelry.

After grabbing her husband's briefcase, the man started shooting at de Caro. Russell ducked behind the furniture and de Caro fired back, hitting the man. The robber was killed and de Caro was wounded.
Liberals are leaning on the fact that De Caro has Special Forces training. That, supposedly, makes him more qualified to exercise the rights that the Constitution guarantees every U.S. citizen. This, of course, is a weird argument for them to be making. I guess we're suddenly supposed to ignore those federal memos suggesting former military members with guns represent the "real" terrorist threat.
A former Special Forces officer, de Caro said he called upon his training to protect his wife. "I was determined to save my dream girl's life — even if it cost my own," he told The Post. Both de Caro and Russell have concealed carry licenses.
CCWs? That sounds like the kind of evil 2nd Amendment indulgence that "racist, homophobic, tea-party fascists" are always shouting about! I could have sworn that CNN was home to a host of Constitution-deniers who famously argue that we needed to ignore "your little book" and rein in private firearm ownership. Apparently that doesn't apply to former CNN employees since the couple owned and carried a set of .35s. As Russell puts it, doing so provided them "a little protection."
"I am really proud of him," Russell said. "I thank him over and over for saving my life. He really is my hero."
Thank goodness those rights are still around, because if CNN's more recent stable of gun-grabbers (folks like Piers Morgan) had their way, a pair of their former coworkers probably wouldn't have survived. This is CNN:
