Reid Doing The Race Dance

It ain't much fun, is it Harry?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was forced to defend his support for African-American politicians in a testy exchange with David Gregory on "Meet the Press" Sunday. Gregory went on to say that people close to Burris were suggesting that "Reid doesn't want an African-American to succeed Obama." Reid gave a lengthy and impassioned defense of his history of promoting black Senate politicians. Anyone accusing him of racism, he concluded, is "part of the Blagojevich spin."
Reading the comments of some of the HuffPos are kind of pitiful. They cite how inclusive and tolerant of black people Democrats have been… since THE 1930's (which is also historically incorrect). Then again, what Democrats did TO black people for a couple centuries before should never count because they've "grown". Now back to Harry's issues…. Whenever Democrats throw out racism charges at Republicans (simply because they can), they giggle watching the race dance ensue. Harry Reid is now forced to tell us all just how he loves us black folk and has gone out of his way to be supportive. Sucks, don't it.
