CARLSBAD, Calif. — A lost dog made her way 35 miles (over 56 kilometres) home to San Diego to find her owner asleep in bed.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Kris Anderson was told she should give up on finding her lost dog, Georgia, after she took off over a hill June 27 at the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve near the city. Anderson and her daughter drove to the preserve and home to Carlsbad every day in hopes of finding the 8-year-old Shar Pei mix. But at 8:30 Monday morning, Anderson was asleep at home when Georgia burst into the bedroom and joined her in bed. More...
