...Proving her point.

MSNBC: Hillary thinks we're stupid. ...And we'll prove her point by voting for her.

According to MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski, Hillary Clinton thinks the American public is stupid. Hillary's decision to maintain a private email server, wipe it, and pretend it's no big deal isn't sitting well with the MSNBC host. She wants to know how Mrs. Clinton can possibly go forward when she's so obviously treating the American people as a bunch of rubes.

“How does that happen?" Mika asked. "How do you have a private email server as Secretary of State - and scrub it - and think that’s going to be OK? I just want to know." Her guests took some rudimentary stabs at trying to explain it, but the fact remains that Hillary has done what she's done, and the choices made in the aftermath have been disastrous. "But this is to my point of candidates pretending things don’t exist," Mika argued. "So you’re going to tell me something doesn’t exist and I’m going to believe you. And you think the American public is that stupid? That’s very insulting!” Of course there's a simple answer to Mika's questions, and she provided it in a preface to the segment. Hillary thinks "it's going to be OK" because people like Mika Brzezinski exist. You see, Mika would still vote for Hillary.
“If Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, I would vote for her.”
In other words, Hillary thinks Mika (and millions of voters like her) is stupid, and Mika is willing to prove Hillary's point by casting a ballot for the former Secretary of State. To answer Mika's question more bluntly: Hillary probably doesn't think the American people are all stupid, but she's 100% certain that the ones who are lining up to vote for her are. They'll swallow any pile of B.S. she puts forth, and then they'll happily march down to their polling place to offer her their support. Apparently Ms. Brzezinski is intelligent enough to recognize that a hubristic candidate is taking her for granted, but she's not quite sharp enough to reject that plan.
