CNN, The Creating The News Network

Like bouts of the winter flu many of us knew it was coming before it hit. The character assassinations of the current leaders of the 16 going for RNC nomination was as vicious as CNN bragged it would be.
What good for long-suffering Americans is a televised presidential debate where the candidates are deliberately set up to squabble; to go after each other’s throats. when it’s the throats of those would-be Democrat opponents destroying the Constitution they should be going after? CNN’s overrated Jake Tapper bringing out the Rosie O’Donnell in candidates vying against each other for the Republican blessing to take on the likes of Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, or whomever the Democrat opponent has to be soap opera of all televised debates. You’d almost think that America wasn’t under the duress of Obama’s obsessed fundamental transformation. You’d almost think that America wasn’t being flooded by staged refugees from countries who chant “Death to America”, or that jobs are now as scarce as proverbial hen’s teeth. A cable network that would elevate patriotism over theatre, would be telling all of those in the Republican presidential race, “go fight the enemy”, “put your country first and bickering among yourselves last.”

CNN being put in control by the Republican establishment and making $25 million with presidential candidates being asked to respond to the criticisms of other candidates made as much sense as Obama’s take on the debate. Master of the Squabble Obama moved in on the debate before it even got underway claiming there is nothing patriotic ‘about talking down America’. Imagine the nerve of the man whose first move after election was talking down America having the colossal nerve to say that. “Washington (CNN) As Republican presidential candidates lay into his record, President Barack Obama on Wednesday chalked up the attacks to expected election-year politics but said there was "nothing particularly patriotic" about their rhetoric.  (CNN, Sept. 16, 2015)
"Despite the perennial doom and gloom that I guess is inevitably part of a presidential campaign, America is winning right now," Obama said at a meeting of the Business Roundtable in Washington. "America is great right now. We can do even better." “He cited job creation, the rising stock market and millions of Americans who now have health insurance as examples of a successful presidential run. "You wouldn't know any of this if you were listening to the folks seeking this office that I occupy," the President told the group of American chief executives. "In the echo chamber that is presidential politics, everything is dark and everything is terrible," he said. "They don't seem to offer many solutions to the disasters they perceive, but they're quick to tell you who to blame. There's nothing particularly patriotic or American about talking down America, especially when we stand as one of the few sources of economic strength in the world."
This is surely advice that Obama should apply to himself. The second Republican presidential ‘debate’ droned on for hours and was still going on as this article was being written. It was a frustrating ‘he-said-she-said’ approach, designed to bring out the worst of the candidates in the running. It was almost a relief when -New Jersey Governor Chris Christie interrupted the squabbling between Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump saying no one, and particularly middle class parents struggling to raise their children, wanted to hear about their respective careers. Fox News was promising coverage of the debate, including analysis by 11 p.m. So far in the presidential debates, Fox News made money on theirs and tonight so did CNN. Problem for the voters is neither cable network did anything to help clarify where the candidates stand on vital issues. The media will tell the story about how the candidates attacked Trump hoping to position themselves in first place. But it is unlikely that any of them will point out that the media should report on presidential debates not manhandle and control them.
