WhatFinger

Once, just once, it would be refreshing and encouraging if the VA told the Truth and worked for the benefit of our disabled homeless Veterans instead of the wealthy and powerful special interest groups.

Vamoose!!

October 2, 2015 Charles Green Chief of Public Affairs Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System: Mr. Green: Late this afternoon I stopped by the so-called Barrington Recreation Park that is illegally occupying VA Veterans land, and the original "closed" signs you posted yesterday were replaced with "limited access" signs (photo below), and there were dogs and dog owners galore and the kids baseball and soccer fields were jammed as were the parking lots. What a hoax!
Your new sign declares that public access is allowed while a master plan is developed and implemented, which will take many years (dog years). Meanwhile, the local fat-cat attorneys will tie this up in the courts for many more dog years because the do not "understand" whose land this is and they don't care, since they believe this is their own self-serving fiefdom. All's well for the wealthy and powerful dog owners in Brentwood, while the homeless Veteran population continues to grow. There is a serious lack of integrity and morality on the side of the VA -- just as you lied about the number of homeless Veterans transported from Skid Row to the VA -- which was eight (8) -- while your trumped-up press release states "Over 30 veterans were engaged by the outreach effort and 25 agreed to come to the VA for additional housing and supportive services." Just more hocus-pocus, mumble-jumble fabrication (lies) to deceive the public. We know the Truth! Once, just once, it would be refreshing and encouraging if the VA told the Truth and worked for the benefit of our disabled homeless Veterans instead of the wealthy and powerful special interest groups.

Why don't you tell all these trespassers and the City of Los Angeles to go to the Brentwood Country Club and tell those fat-cat members to play two rounds of 9-hole golf and donate the other hundreds of acres for a public park, UCLA baseball diamond, Brentwood School athletic complex, Tumbleweed buses, Mazda car storage, etc. Charles, replace the limited access signs with: "Vamoose!  Veterans are taking over and they're going to build emergency humanitarian housing  anywhere and everywhere they want on their land for our war-injured, impoverished and homeless Veterans.  The October 2, 2015 "closed" notice is now in full force." God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
