October 6, 2015 Vincent Kane Special Assistant to Secretary Robert A. McDonald Department of Veterans Affairs Good Morning Mr. Kane: Re: KNBC News -- VA Delays LA Park Closure; Agrees to Meet First With LA Officials
From yesterday's KNBC News Report by Patrick Healy: << When the posting of the VA signs signaled its intention to move forward with closing Barrington Recreation Center, [Coincilman] Bonin contacted Sen. Dianne Feinstein, and credited her with facilitating the meeting scheduled this week.>> When and where is this meeting taking place, whose invited, and who are the principles doing the supposed negotiating, and how were they selected? This meeting should never take place and the public park closed forthwith as it has nothing to do with the so-called master plan. Moreover, it's an illegal land scam at the expense of war-injured and impoverished homeless Veterans. However, if there is a meeting then it must be open and Veteran advocates invited because it's the behind-closed-door meetings that have created the wide-spread misuse and abuse of Veteran's sacred property that created the biggest land-fraud scandal in American history. Senator Feinstein's recent "private" press conference underscores the need to stop these secret meetings and to be open and forthright. Like her illegal "enhanced use lease" scam, now she's manipulating another anti-Veteran meeting to benefit her "fat-dog" friends in Brentwood.

John F. Kennedy rightfully proclaimed: "The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it." Be honest and get your priorities straight! Is that asking too much? You can't even take care of disabled homeless Veterans who are crying out for help at the "emergency" sign entryway to the VA, and now you're holding an emergency meeting to appease a bunch of wealthy, hostile, self-righteous dog owners who illegally control Veterans land. The best (or worst) fiction writers in Hollywood couldn't dream up this sacrilegious blasphemy.
Disabled homeless Veteran at the foot of VA entry emergency sign.
Hostile and arrogant dog owners and dog walkers on Veterans land while thousands of disabled homeless Veterans have been exiled to Skid Row and back alley squalor.
Taking care of our Veterans is a "Federal responsibility," not a local government scam where they confiscate Federal land at the painful expense of disabled homeless Veterans at the privileged benefit of non-Veteran ingrates.. Do your Federal job for the greater good of our Veterans and stop kowtowing to local government and special interest groups. Otherwise, resign -- posthaste! Sincerely, Robert L. Rosebrock Director, Old Veterans Guard God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
