“Hunting is a religious practice for those who take part,” according to Gloucester artist Alexandra Churchill. “And so my latest trio of hound paintings have tongue in cheek titles: The Clergy, The Congregation and The Choir Practice.” The latter, and Alex’s latest painting, shows the local hounds, complete with an unexpected visitor. Alex is now showing her horses, hounds and hares with Don Bryson at the Wold Galleries in Moreton in Marsh. Don, a passionate collector and dealer, took over the gallery in September.
