Because what they do is monstrous and evil.

Let's have more harsh anti-Planned Parenthood rhetoric

As I said without stuttering yesterday, the response to the evil of Planned Parenthood should never be violence the likes of which we saw on Friday. Robert Lewis Dear is no friend of life and no friend of what's right. (There also continues to be no evidence whatsoever that he is a Christian, much to the heartbreak of the American left.) But you can see what's happening here. Planned Parenthood and its political allies are trying to use the Colorado Springs shooting to indict all the criticism the organization has received for its wanton and illegal selling of baby parts, implying that anyone who offers harsh condemnation of this practice is partly responsible for inspiring Dear's actions.

That is a crock. The reason Planned Parenthood is condemned so harshly is that its actions are so horrific. The series of videos released by the Center for Medical Progress established beyond all doubt - unless you are a true believer who will never be convinced by anything - that Planned Parenthood was not only selling fetal body parts for profit, but was well aware of the illegality of the practice and took concerted steps to see to it that what they were doing would not be revealed. What the videos also revealed was that Planned Parenthood leaders and personnel maintain a cold and calculating attitude toward the children they murder, laughing and snickering at things anyone with a heart would find almost impossible to look at. These people are monsters. No rhetoric condemning them could possibly be harsh enough. Now, what should happen in a situation like this would be that the Justice Department - confronted with the evidence on the videos - would launch a serious criminal probe and bring charges against Planned Parenthood. What actually happens in the current political environment is that the Justice Department does nothing because that is what the president wants, and lawbreaking that's clear as day for anyone to see is simply not dealt with. The only reason the rhetoric continues is because citizens are frustrated this evil persists while nothing is done. If political leaders want the rhetoric to calm down, then let them do their jobs and the rest of us can be satisfied with justice. They have a hell of a lot of nerve telling us to shut up when they are derelict in their own duties. And while Planned Parenthood certainly has a legitimate gripe with Mr. Dear, they have no legitimate gripe with the rest of us. They are perpetrating evil. We are calling them out for it. The problem begins and ends with them, and they are certainly no more the victim here than the children they murder, butcher and sell for profit. So, no, do not commit violence against Planned Parenthood. But continue to condemn their evil, and to use every legal means available to put an end to what they do - including the very accurate and consequently very harsh criticism they so hate to hear. Because it's the truth, and nothing that happened on Friday changes that.
